Get some friends or family together and head to Rosemont Inn for a weekend. That's what we did and can't imagine a more relaxing and fun weekend. Rosemeont has a perfect location with great river views, great food and lots of fun activities. We're hooked and can't wait to go back.
Thanks Howard for a Perfect Weekend!

My husband and I did a "one tank trip" last weekend and were enchanted by The Rosemont Inn in Vevay. Everything about our stay was pleasurable. The room was perfect, the food was better than perfect, the atmosphere in Vevay was friendly and our host, Howard was incredible. What a nice man to deal with. We were so pleased that I just made arrangements to stay again next Spring.

The B&B was nice, mostly clean, did have some issues with shedding dogs. Would not recommend the dinner. The service was slow & the quality of the food was poor. Don't know if the chef was out or if the person prepairing the food was inexperienced

Though Vevay is an out of the way location - the drive along the Ohio River and the view of the river from the B&B are worth the effort - the room was decorated in antiques and the bed soooo comfortable - plenty of space in the room and the bathroom provided with all you could possibly need - relaxing CDs, drinks, and luxurious towels and robes - a must to have dinner at the B&B prepared by the owners, one of the best I've ever had with charming conversation and interesting information shared by all

We really enjoyed Howards hospitality. He made us feel right at home and is a great cook. Our breakfast was delicious. We had the James PLeasant room and it was beautiful the view was awesome of the Ohio River and grounds below. Thank you for making out weekend getaway so enjoyable.

Wow, they have done it again.
Howard, working alone, did a wonderful job of making us and all the family feel welcome. Food was delicious on Friday night's stay and all of us had different entree's.
Just amazing.

Howard greeted us at the door as we arrived, and put our bags into our room...even though it wasn't ready for us yet. He gave us great information about the surrounding area, which we left to explore. When we got back to the Inn, we rested a bit, I fixed myself a cup of hot tea (complimentary of course) and then got ready to go out to dinner. Howard called a complimentary shuttle for us to take us to dinner, so we didn't have to hassle with our car. Overall, it was a delightful experience. We felt that Howard was a friend by the end of our stay, and we will definately come back! Great time...and close to home!

We had a wonderful time at the Rosemont Inn. Howard was a wonderful host and a superb chef!! We had the salmon and steak. Both of these dinners were delicious. The breakfasts were so good and so-o-o filling! This was our first time to stay in a B&B and we were not disappointed. We had such a relaxing time. It is so peaceful to be right on the Ohio River. We hope to visit again!

I have often thought about opening a bed and breakfast and would call on Howard for information and help in doing so. That is a wonderful "thumbs up" in my book!!

We were spoiled as visiting the Rosemont a few years ago. Then we visited a few others and found they never even came close. Is it the beautiful house, the wonderful furnishings, the fantastic service and fascinating stories....who know....but we will be regulars as much as possible..!

The Rosemont Inn is a beautiful old Bed & Breakfast. The antique furnishings in the home are breathtaking. The owner, Howard, was such a delight and very interesting to talk with. He knows a lot about the history of the home. The breakfast was delicious, plentiful and all homemade. They also offer complimentary wine and beer and it was so relaxing to have our cocktails on the porch overlooking the river. They also do wonderful dinners that we heard are great. We will definitely stay for dinner the next time we go. This was the most enjoyable B & B we have ever stayed at.

The Rosemont Inn was just what we needed, when we most needed it--a place to rest, de-stress and regroup with a great room, a congenial host, good food and wine, with stars, antiques, and a fire pit as extra bonuses! Clifty Falls is nearby for some hiking, wineries, shopping, and Bel Terra Casino too.

What a great place. Howard was our gracious host and he made us feel so welcome from the first step we took onto the porch until it was time to leave. We were absolutely pampered the whole time we were there. Breakfast was wonderful and fun as we shared conversations with our fellow guests. Rooms were very comfortable and clean. No TV's, so prepare to really get away from it all! Very relaxing sitting on the porch and watching the barges float by on the Ohio River. We will definitely be back!

Rosemont Inn is a fantastic B&B. It has it all! Howard is a wonderful host and chef providing breakfast and dinner onsite. The location on the Ohio River is lovely, the inn is exquisitely decorated with extensive original art, antiques, and comfy beds. Have already planned another visit in the fall.

Wonderful Historical Home with beautiful woodwork and incredible antiques in every room. Howard & Shiraz welcomed us with full tour of house and information and advise on things to do in the area. Our room was spacious, exceptionally clean, so comfortable and cozy with a King bed, fireplace, and private bath. Come hungry for breakfast because the plates are FULL with eggs, sausage/ham, triple berry muffins, pancakes/blintz, fruit, juices, great coffee, tea, milk and more. Conversations at breakfast were really interesting - getting to know the other guests and their recommendations for activities. We will be back very soon!!

We only stayed one night but would have liked to stay longer at Rosemont Inn. The setting right by the river is beautiful, as is the inn itself and its furnishings. We ate dinner and breakfast at the Inn and both meals were great. We had to leave very early the next morning and Howard kindly gave us a big breakfast very early, which we really appreciated.
Best of all was the way Howard made us -- and our dog! -- feel welcome. A very good place to stay with your dog! There's a small public park very near to the inn where you can walk your dog, too.

Wonderful atmosphere, gratious hosts, excellent food & drink, and plenty of history made this stay a phenomenal 1st-time B&B experience for us! We plan to be back!

If you're looking for a good night's sleep then the James K Room is for you. As I climbed into the over-sized four-poster bed that dominates this master bedroom I knew, firsthand, what it must have been like when King Louis bedded down. I was able to drift off to sleep quite quickly while cradled in such comfort. Although I got in late and went to bed even later I felt as though I'd slept a full 8-10 when I awoke 6 hours later to the aroma of breakfast's preparation. I had set the alarm and--typically being a very deep sleeper--was worried that it might fail to wake me, but I didn't need it after all. There are 3 or 4 very large windows in the room with slatted wooden shutters, and closing them easily prevents the sun from disturbing your rest. It's possible that one need only close the shutters on the window adjacent to the bed to achieve the same effect considering the overall orientation of this 19th-century mansion.
The room was appropriately appointed to suit accommodation, and the arrangement of its contents was aesthetically pleasing. A hairdryer was supplied for guest convenience.
The mansion is elegant with interesting architectural features. History, artwork, and antiques are everywhere and there's a story to tell about nearly every room and nearly every room's contents.
The staff is courteous, considerate, and helpful. They take pride in the property and in the progress they're making with site maintenance, upgrades, and renovations.
Breakfast was as described. I had trouble cleaning my plate, but only because I started getting full too soon!
I only wish I had stayed longer, and I will definitely return at some point in the future.

Wonderful change of pace, scenery & very relaxing. Food was great and so was the hospitality. Even though it rained much of the time we were there, it was so relaxing to sit on the porch swing or glider or rocker and watch the river flowing by reflecting the cloud changes, or seeing the barges go by. Sipping wine on the peaceful porch was just what we needed. Beautiful home with lots of extra surprises. Another couple joined us one evening for dinner & we all selected something different--then drooled over what everyone else had. Must go again just to try some of the other dishes. Great for anyone looking for an escape from the daily grind or needing a serene setting. Looking over the green yard to the Ohio River was refreshing and rejuvenating.

The Rosemont Inn provides a very relaxing atmospere. The hot tub, firepit, and relaxing atmosphere of the vintage inn make for a perfect weekend. Whether it is reading, sightseeing or just sitting on the front porch relaxing...they have it all. The decor of the home was almost breathtaking. We really enjoyed the morning breakfast at the huge dining room table. The food was excellent and it gave us a chance to visit with some of the other guests. Our host, Howard, was truly an excellent host. He waited on us all weekend and made us feel so welcome. He made us a gourmet dinner on Saturday evening which was fabulous. The lemon pepper salmon meal was the best that I have ever had. The baby back ribs were so big that my husband had to take 1/2 of them home with him and he normally can eat a full rack. We can't wait to go back for anaother stay at the Rosemont!

If you are looking for a relaxing get a way this is the place. My daughter and I found the Rosemont Inn to be wonderfully relaxing, just the thing to recharge our minds. The view of the river can not be beat. Make sure you are out on the front porch with your glass of wine when it starts getting dark. The beauty of the moons reflection on the Ohio River takes your breath away. By far the best thing about this B&B would be the hosts. Howard is like a wise father with wonderful advice, words of wisdom and funny stories.
If your stay lands on the first Friday of the month you are in for a real treat. The charming little town of Vevay stays open a little later and lets its hair down with live music and free horse drawn carriage rides. If you forget to order dinner at the Rosemont, Moe's Steak House down the road has great food and great service.
You cannot go wrong spending time at the Rosemont. Enjoy your stay!

Our first time visiting - my sister recommended it after she stayed there last Fall. We were all there together and loved our visit! The place is gorgeous and very elegant. The owners have really worked hard to make it a special place for guests. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and the baths terrific (we had a whirlpool tub). Located with a view of the river and a park-like setting, we enjoyed the gazebo and overlook, watching the boats. Our breakfast/brunch was super - very gourmet. The place is historic, clean, beautiful - and hidden from the main road. A hidden gem!! We'll be back.

This was our second visit to the beautiful Rosemont Inn. So beautiful and right on the Ohio River. Linda was out out of town, so Howard took total care of his guests - he even cooked a wonderful breakfast. I shall go back often - but I'm realizing I must book ahead because people are discovering this little gem .... Thank you Linda and Howard. You made our trip special as always...

It was absolutely wonderful. The food was excellent that we had ordered and the service was wonderful. The wine was great. The hot tub added to the night. I almost wish it had been cooler so we could have stayed in the hot tub longer, but that's okay. I hope that we can go back for more trips!! Thanks for everything Howard and Linda!!

My husband and I just spent a magical evening at the Rosemont and it far exceeded our expectations! Everything about the Rosemont is memorable. The owners Linda and Howard are gracious hosts who are devoted to ensuring your stay is perfect in every way. The entire house is just lovely, and the bedrooms are spacious and beautifully deocarated with lots of amenities. We had a gourmet dinner prepared by Linda and it was fantastic. Howard's breakfast was equally delicious. Our hosts provided us with all kinds of visitor info and recommended fun things for us to do during our stay. We travel a lot and have stayed at many B&B's through the years, but the Rosemont Inn is by far the best experience we have ever had. We have already planned to go back with our daughter and her husband. If you are looking for a perfect getaway, put the Rosemont Inn at the top of your list!

My wife an I needed a restful retreat and we found it at the Rosemont Inn. The inn is a wonderful combination of old and new. It has all the modern amenities yet retains the charm and plushness of a carefully restored 1881 mansion full of antiques. For example it sports a modern central heating and cooling system yet working fireplaces are through out the house. We found no drafts, only comfort, despite the 20 degree temperatures and snow outside. The house is ornate, yet comfortable. The modern amenities are so well blended into the decor that it looks like they were there present all along. The hosts, Howard and Linda, were respectful of our privacy yet always available and willing to share stories about the house and the area. They catered to our every need. The food is outstanding! We availed ourselves of the “Stay Close Get Cozy Package” which includes two nights accommodations, breakfast each morning, and a gourmet dinner one evening. The steak may well have been the best I ever tasted. On our next visit we will certainly order the optional dinner every night. We look forward to returning during less frigid weather so we can enjoy the quiet beauty of the grounds while sitting by the fire pit overlooking the Ohio River. We may even try soaking in the hot tub that also has a great view of the river.

We were given a gift certifcate for Christmas and decide to use it right after the New Year. This was our first B&B and we were found it very entising. Howard and Linda were very welcoming and provided a quite place to relax. The history of the home is amazing. Linda is a fabulous cook and I enjoyed Howard's life stories that he provided. It is definetly somewhere we will go back to.
